Abramson Cancer Center catchment area

Serving patients across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware

The Abramson Cancer Center is dedicated to serving the needs of the 13 counties that comprise our catchment area, including:

  • Six counties in southeastern Pennsylvania (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster, Montgomery, and Philadelphia)
  • Six counties in southern New Jersey (Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Mercer, Middlesex)
  • One county in Delaware (New Castle)

These 13 counties have a population of over 8 million residents and account for over 85 percent of Abramson Cancer Center patients. About one-sixth of cancer center patients live in Philadelphia County. The Abramson Cancer Center catchment area guides our central effort to build clinical programs and facilitate research relevant to its residents, identify key constituents for engagement, and guide dissemination of evidence-based practices and policies to reduce the cancer burden.
