Advanced treatment options for inflammatory bowel disease
While there’s no cure for IBD, there are a full range of treatment options. We’ll work with you to choose the best plan for your symptoms, goals, and lifestyle.
Medications help you manage your IBD by controlling symptoms, reducing inflammation, and slowing disease progression. You have access to all available IBD medications and numerous clinical trials that offer emerging treatment options. Your care team helps you understand how each option supports your inflammatory bowel disease management, monitors how well your medicines are working, and adjusts your plan to keep symptoms under control.
Most IBD treatments today are taken at home. If you do need an intravenous (IV) infusion, our dedicated centers offer a calm, comfortable setting with nurses trained in infusion care who monitor you during each visit.
You’ll also have support from our dedicated IBD pharmacy team. They help you get insurance approval, understand your medications, and navigate any requirements for both infusion and at-home therapies.
For some people, inflammatory bowel disease treatment includes surgery. Our colorectal surgeons are part of our IBD care team and are trained experts in the surgical care of inflammatory bowel disease. They work closely with our gastroenterologists and with you to determine the approach that best supports your health and quality of life.
