Travel immunizations from Penn Medicine
Getting the proper vaccinations before you travel outside the country is crucial. Vaccines protect you from diseases that aren’t common in the U.S., such as yellow fever and Japanese encephalitis.
At Penn Medicine, we offer all the vaccines you need to stay healthy on an international trip. We recommend setting up an appointment for a consultation as soon as you know where you’re traveling, ideally six to eight weeks before your trip. Some vaccines are given in a series, and you’ll need time to complete the series to develop full immunity.
Once you’re vaccinated, we give you an official immunization record that you can keep with your travel documents.
