Lancaster General Hospital visitor policies
Masking guidelines
Updated Feb. 4, 2026
To help keep everyone safe, patients, visitors, and staff must wear masks in areas where patients with weakened immune systems receive care. This includes:
- Emergency Department and urgent care waiting rooms
- Dedicated cancer, radiation oncology, and transplant clinics
- Infusion centers
Anyone who wants to wear a mask is welcome to do so. If you have a cough, runny nose, or other respiratory symptoms, you must wear a surgical mask while inside Penn Medicine facilities.
