We provide multiple resources designed to help reduce cancer risk and rates in our community, including:
- Cancer screenings
- Educational classes
- Lunch and learn sessions hosted by the Abramson Cancer Center
- Mobile mammograms to increase access to breast cancer screenings
We offer a comprehensive range of programs designed to help individuals prevent and manage diabetes:
- Diabetes self-management education and support
- Gestational diabetes management
- Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM)
- Insulin pump management
- Diabetes prevention programs, such as:
- National Diabetes Prevention Program
- Reversing prediabetes
- Expert-led educational presentations
- Nutrition counseling with registered dietitians
- Support groups
Health screenings are tools that detect signs of diseases in early stages, often before symptoms start. We offer:
- Free blood pressure screenings at the hospital and in community settings
- Cardiovascular risk assessments, including blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, and body mass index checks
- Cancer screenings, including for breast, colorectal, and prostate cancers
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States. We work to change those statistics by providing:
- Blood pressure screenings
- Cardiovascular risk evaluations
- Educational sessions on heart disease, stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other heart and lung conditions
We work closely with community partners to help educate our community on mental health and substance use disorders. We hold events such as:
- Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid
- Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention Training
- Medication and sharps disposal events
- Smoking cessation classes
- Trauma and resilience awareness and education
- Mindfulness and stress-reduction programs
We provide educational sessions and presentations on various orthopaedic conditions and treatments, including:
- Physician-led “Bones and Joints” series
- Informative lunchtime presentations by physical therapists
- Monthly pre-operative joint replacement education classes
Our community health team supports the physical health, mental health, and safety of older adults as they navigate their care journeys. We offer:
- Educational programs that address health-related needs
- Informational sessions on navigating Medicare
- Fall prevention programs
- Caregiver training and support
- Dementia resources
Effective weight management involves a balanced approach to nutrition, physical activity, and lifestyle changes that promote overall health. We provide:
- Timely and immediately useful educational presentations

- Nutrition Matters Lunch and Learns
- Struggles and Solutions
- Your Weigh Down, a four-week series
- A Conversation About Emotional Eating, a four-week series
- One-on-one in-person or telemedicine sessions with a registered dietitian
We support women’s unique health needs with health screenings, education, and seminars on topics such as:
- Breast cancer risk and prevention
- Childbirth education and support
- Hormonal conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
- Pelvic floor issues and urinary incontinence
- Women’s heart health
