Ways to give to the Penn Transplant Institute and Penn Transplant House
At Penn Medicine, we believe every transplant journey deserves world-class care, support, and hope — not only for patients, but for their families, too.
Whether you want to support pioneering transplant research, provide comfort and housing to families far from home, or honor a loved one’s journey, your generosity has a lasting impact.
Support the Penn Transplant Institute
The Penn Transplant Institute is one of the nation’s leading programs for organ transplantation and research. Philanthropic support helps us advance groundbreaking clinical research and trials, develop innovative patient care programs, and train the next generation of transplant leaders.
You can make a gift in honor or memory of a loved one, or in celebration of a special occasion. Every contribution makes a difference — individually and collectively.

Ways to give to the Penn Transplant House
Sometimes to find the best care possible, transplant patients and their families travel far from home. With the incredible generosity of our volunteers and donors, we are able to offer patients a home away from home at the Penn’s Clyde F. Barker Penn Transplant House.
The Penn Transplant House relies on the generosity of individuals, community organizations, foundations and corporations to support its services and programs. There are many great ways to show your support of the House.
Gifts can be given in memory, in honor, or in celebration of anniversaries, birthdays, or other special occasions. In addition, there are prominent public spaces and guest rooms available for naming in the House. We are thankful for your support in this practical and critical way. To make a gift, please complete the secure online forms for any of the funds below.

Volunteer opportunities
Volunteering at the Clyde F. Barker Penn Transplant House is an opportunity to share your time and talent with our patients and families who are so grateful for the warmth and hospitality that we offer.
- Make a meal through our Guest Chefs program. You can do this with your friends or coworkers. We have an incredibly well-equipped kitchen — what could be better than making a meal and sharing it?
- Offer some hours per month to support our staff in the many tasks required to keep our house running. All individual volunteers must be approved by, and complete training with, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania's Volunteer Services Department.
If you have any questions, please contact the house manager, Edward Sockol, at Edward.Sockol@pennmedicine.upenn.edu or call the House directly at 215-662-4540.
