How to host a fundraiser event for Princeton Health
We appreciate your interest in hosting an event or promotion to benefit Princeton Health. Please consider the following guidelines to help you plan your event.
- Thank donors for donations made directly to the Foundation
- Provide and approve use of the Foundation logo
- Assist your organization in directing contributions toward special interests or areas of need
- Provide staff or volunteer staff
- Provide our tax exemption number to event coordinators
- Provide insurance
- Provide startup costs, underwrite expense, or provide funding or reimbursement for event expenses
- Provide PMC Foundation letterhead
- Guarantee attendance of patients, physicians, staff or volunteers at the event
- An application must be submitted to the Foundation at least 90 days before the proposed event for approval. A new application is required each year for annual events.
- The Foundation must approve all promotional materials in advance. Events should state, “Proceeds will benefit Princeton Medical Center,” as the Foundation cannot sponsor or endorse fundraising events or products.
- Events must comply with all federal, state, and local fundraising laws, including any licensing requirements for gaming activities.
- If soliciting contributions or sponsorships from local businesses, organizers must submit a list of potential sponsors for Foundation approval before outreach begins.
- Event proceeds must be submitted to the Foundation within 30 days. No individual may keep any portion of the proceeds as profit, and event expenses should not exceed 50 percent of total revenue.
