Our experienced team of spine specialists offers second opinions to any patient who has received a surgical spinal diagnosis as the next step in treatment.

Receive a Second Opinion

The Penn Spine Center program is one of the most comprehensive and sophisticated of its kind, offering multidisciplinary treatment for every type of back and neck condition. Our program is comprised of more than 45 experts who work seamlessly together at a variety of convenient locations throughout the Philadelphia region.

We determine what's best for our patients by practicing evidence-based medicine driven by science and clinical research. Our spine specialists are committed to fostering relationships with patients built on trust and personalized attention. Individuals work closely with our specialists to receive education about their spine condition, discuss their diagnostic and treatment options — both non-surgical and surgical — and engage in shared decision-making to create a treatment plan that addresses all of their unique needs.

Our Penn Spine Center team consists of leaders across multiple disciplines that include Neurosurgery, Neurology, Neurophysiology, Orthopaedics, Pain Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), and Behavioral Medicine. We also work closely with Good Shepherd Penn Partners (GSPP) to provide physical therapy services to patients as needed.

The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Hospital, and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center are designated as Centers of Excellence for Spine Care. Learn more about this distinction.
