I help direct the Clinical Microbiology Laboratory at HUP. My areas of focus are on implementation of new technology such as multiplex PCR assays and MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry.

Description of Research Expertise:

My research focuses on the utilization, development, and validation of tests for the Clinical Microbiology Laboratory at HUP. My two major focuses are on using new technologies such as MALDI-TOF to identify resistant bacteria sooner and the development and utilization of molecular tests to detect viral illnesses.
