Performed the first NOGA left ventricular electromechanical MAP procedure using novel magnetic field directed catheter positioning technology. 1999.

Performed first Laser Direct Myocardial Revascularization procedure
In the Greater Philadelphia Region. 1999.

Developed peripheral vascular interventional program in cardiac catheterization laboratory with the successful performance of subclavian, renal and aortoiliac angioplasties, and carotid angioplasties. 1998.

One of 10 sponsored American interventional cardiologists to be invited to Japan to train in the newly approved (in Japan) interventional technique rotational atherectomy. 1997.

Performed first carotid stent procedure as principal investigator of FDA approved protocol "Carotid Stent-supported Angioplasty for Symptomatic Carotid Artery Stenosis" at Hahnemann University Hospital, Greater Philadelphia Region. 1997.

Performed the first rheolytic thrombectomy procedure of a totally occluded
coronary bypass graft in greater Philadelphia region. 1996.

Performed first transradial cardiac catheterization and intervention in region, which allowed the safe performance of ambulatory coronary stent implantations. 1995.

Performed first coronary rotational atherectomy (Rotoblator) procedure in Greater Philadelphia Regions at Hahnemann University Hospital. 1994.

Implanted first clinically approved coronary stent (Gianturco-Roubin) and developed professional and nursing inservice training program in
Cath Lab and Coronary Care Unit to provide safe post-implant treatment for novel and complex technology. 1993.

Performed first radio frequency catheter ablation of AV Nodal re-entrant tachycardia in Greater Philadelphia region at Hahnemann University Hospital. 1989.

Implanted first automatic implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (AICD) and developed implantation and post-implant surveillance protocols in Greater Philadelphia region. 1986.

Implanted one of first five AICD’s (Intec) in world at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C. 1984.
