Interim CEO Dan Wilson, MBA, BSN, RN, FABC

PAH’s interim CEO discusses new beginnings at the hospital, such as recent renovations and transition in leadership for the DEI Committee. It’s officially the start of spring – a season of new beginnings. The chill in the air will soon turn to warm weather, and flowers will begin to bloom in the Pennsylvania Hospital gardens. We have also seen a few fresh starts within our own hospital; for instance, the renovation of the Gamma Knife Suite. The refurbished space, highlighted in this month’s issue of What’s New, has a brand-new feel with an additional patient bay and a fully upgraded radiosurgery system to elevate the patient and staff experience.

We also experienced new beginnings with leadership transitions, including my own. In January, I assumed the position of interim CEO. I’ve been enjoying my time working closely with our Executive Leadership Team on operational needs and recruitment efforts to continue building our strong workforce.

Similarly, PAH’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee welcomed new chairs to their six workgroups. In their one-year term, the chairs will support our mission of promoting health equity and inclusivity for all who enter PAH and its surrounding communities. I look forward to seeing the chairs’ collaboration and the new initiatives that will arise from their continued commitment to improving DEI efforts at our hospital. We cannot do this work without you – please consider joining one of our workgroups today by visiting the DEI landing page on the PAH intranet.
