Each spring, graduating medical students across the country eagerly anticipate Match Day — the day they learn where they will be doing their residency programs. “Match Day is a culmination of their medical school education and launch into their dream specialty,” said Pamela Vnenchak, MD, program director of LG Health’s Family Medicine Residency Program. Typically celebrated among friends, family, faculty and fellow students, Match Day this year took place during the COVID-19 quarantine. Students received email notifications and shared their joy virtually, via FaceTime, Zoom, TikTok and other apps.
We welcome the Class of 2023, who begin their three-year residency July 1.
