The annual UPHS Quality and Safety Awards recognize achievements in quality and patient safety. This year, more than 120 submissions from multidisciplinary teams throughout Penn Medicine demonstrated the breadth and impact of these initiatives on patient care.
As PJ Brennan, MD, the Health System’s chief medical officer, noted at the awards ceremony earlier this year, “These are not projects that had to be done. They are grassroots efforts to benefit our patients.”
