“I received a call from a patient diagnosed with breast cancer last night. She said, thanks to Donald Wharton and Raquel Rivera [pharmacy technicians], in less than 24 hours, her PA [prior authorization] was approved, she was signed up for a grant [to cover the copay] and will get her medication tomorrow. She said this was the first time she has smiled since receiving the diagnosis last night and that she couldn’t be more impressed with how competent and empathetic they were with her. She really appreciated hearing from them to just focus on getting better and that we would handle the rest.”
