Patient experience coordinator Joan Casarella displays more than a dozen baskets filled with hats, gloves, scarves, and socks donated by employees, volunteers and physicians during Penn Medicine Experience (PMX) Week. The effort was named Compassion for the Community in keeping with PMX Week’s BE Compassionate theme. Donations went to the Plainsboro Food Pantry, which included some items in Thanksgiving baskets distributed to local families; HomeFront, a Trenton-area nonprofit that strives to end homelessness; and Naomi’s Way of New Brunswick, which provides transitional housing to people with special needs.
