Microdermabrasion safely and painlessly treats all skin types, tones and colors by removing the outer layers of skin.

What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion safely and painlessly treats all skin types, tones and colors by removing the outer layers of skin. This encourages the production of collagen, thus firming and toning the skin. On its own, the process helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles, but when combined with a chemical peel, microdermabrasion allows any peel to work more effectively.

Our skin care program provides individualized recommendations for each of our clients and can help determine who is a good candidate for microdermabrasion.

Who is a good candidate for microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion with a chemical peel is best suited for those who suffer from skin conditions such as:

  • Oily skin
  • Subtle wrinkles
  • Blackheads/whiteheads
  • Sun damaged skin
  • Skin susceptible to acne
  • Age spots
  • Hyper pigmentation

It is not ideal for those with active acne or thin skin.

What to Expect With Microdermabrasion

During a microdermabrasion treatment, one of our highly skilled and practiced aestheticians uses a mechanical wand to cleanse the skin with aluminum oxide crystals. At the same time, the dead skin cells are pulled away with a suction device. The treatment itself feels quite comfortable.

Recovery and Maintenance

For maximum results, our aesthetician may recommend a series of four to six microdermabrasions together with chemical peels. These treatments produce dramatic results and leave skin looking smooth and bright.

Risks and Outcomes of Microdermabrasian

There are very minimal risks and negative side effects involved with microdermabrasion. Our Skin Care Program aestheticians carefully review the procedure and potential risks with each client.
