Hospice is a philosophy of care for people with serious and progressive illnesses, such as heart disease, lung disease, cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. Hospice care focuses on symptom relief and quality of life, rather than curing illness. Most people choose to receive hospice care in their homes; however, sometimes a patient needs more care than can be managed at home, or symptoms require more intense management than a family caregiver can provide. When this occurs, patients can choose to receive care in our inpatient hospice unit.
Our hospice unit is designed exclusively for acute hospice care. Our goal is to offer a beautiful and comfortable atmosphere where people at the end of life can spend time with family and friends while our experienced team provides exceptional care.
