The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania has two outpatient programs located at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine. The Pain Management Clinic is led by the Anesthesiology Department and provides expert pain management with consideration of local procedures to alleviate pain when appropriate. The Palliative and Supportive Oncology Clinic provides symptom management and support for patients needing assistance with pain and other symptoms or distress. Your oncologist can help to identify which clinic would best suit your personal needs.
For patients receiving their oncology care at the Abramson Cancer Center at Pennsylvania Hospital, there is a dedicated outpatient Palliative Care Program that provides pain and symptom management and support.
The Penn Pain Medicine Center is a dedicated pain management clinic that is located at Penn Medicine Rittenhouse.
These multidisciplinary programs complement traditional cancer treatments and are available to all patients regardless of prognosis, in conjunction with curative therapies.
