Kneecap fracture, or patella fracture, is most commonly caused by trauma such as a direct blow to the knee from a fall, car accident or motorcycle accident. The major symptoms of a kneecap fracture include pain and swelling in the front of the knee, bruising or inability to walk.

Kneecap fractures vary from one person to another. The kneecap can crack just slightly or can be broken into many pieces. A break in the kneecap can happen anywhere in the bone.

If you have a kneecap fracture, we provide a thorough assessment, diagnosis, detailed treatment plans, post-surgery rehabilitation and pain management. The repair procedure or surgery we perform will depend on the type of fracture you have.
