Our participants experience an overall increase in the quality of their life through the use of meditation tools learned through our mindfulness programs.
The Penn Program for Mindfulness solicits feedback at the end of every program in the form of a post course evaluation form. We are proud to report that participant overall satisfaction levels are consistently high. Our average ranking is four out of five with almost all participants reporting dramatic reductions in anxiety, depression, anger and fatigue after taking the eight-week foundation course. Additionally, ninety-nine percent of participants say they would recommend this program to others. Finally, and most importantly, participants tell us that they plan to continue using the mindfulness meditation tools they learned from our program.

Participation in our eight-week public mindfulness meditation program is steadily increasing. The course teaches meditation techniques and demonstrates how these techniques can be used as part of a comprehensive approach to stress management.
This program also teaches individuals how to change negative and confusing thought patterns and emotions that accompany stress. Participants learn how to recognize their unique reactions to stress, how to find more effective ways to respond to stressful situations, and how to utilize their own inner resources to find greater health and well being.
As measured by the Profile of Mood States (POMS) Test, participants in our 2013 eight-week foundation courses reported significant changes in the following areas:
- 29% reduction in confusion
- 34% reduction in anxiety
- 39% reduction in depression
- 39% reduction in anger
- 30% increase in vigor (or energy)
