A graduate of Vanderbilt School of Medicine, Marisa Cevasco, MD, MPH, competed her residency and fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School, as well as a Master of Public Health degree from Harvard School of Public Health. Subsequently, Dr. Cevasco spent two years as an Instructor/Junior Attending at New York Presbyterian-Columbia University Medical Center in New York, where she received specialized training in all aspects of cardiac surgery with a focus on transplant and ventricular assist devices (VADs).

Dr. Cevasco's clinical interests include coronary artery bypass grafting, valve replacement, heart and lung transplant, minimally invasive valve surgery, and mechanical circulatory support including VADs and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).

Board certified in both general surgery and thoracic surgery, she will see patients at the Penn Heart & Vascular Center at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine.
