David Irwin, MD, has joined the Department of Neurology at Penn Medicine. A graduate of Drexel University College of Medicine, Dr. Irwin completed an internship in medicine and a residency in neurology at Hahnemann University Hospital and completed a fellowship in cognitive neurology/ neurodegenerative disease at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Irwin also received a Master of Science in Transitional Research from the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Irwin’s clinical focus is on cognitive neurology and neurodegenerative disease, including frontotemporal dementia, primary progressive aphasia, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, dementia with Lewy bodies, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, progressive supranuclear palsy, corticobasal syndrome and multiple system atrophy.
Board-certified in neurology, Dr. Irwin sees patients at the Penn Neuroscience Center at the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine.
