Pennsylvania Hospital’s Internal Medicine Residency Program only accepts applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). We cannot process applications received through any other electronic or paper medium. In addition, we strongly encourage all applicants to complete the supplemental ERAS application, offered through the AAMC’s ERAS program. The additional information will help our program staff learn more about applicants’ medical education journey, including more meaningful information about work, volunteer, and research experiences, and help us better identify applicants who fit our program environment and mission. This supplemental ERAS application will be delivered on a survey platform outside the MyERAS application and must be completed between September 1 and September 30. Please bookmark the supplemental ERAS application section of the AAMC website to find the latest information, FAQs, and resources.

Interviews for the Internal Medicine Residency program at Pennsylvania Hospital will be held virtually. This decision is in accordance with guidelines from the American Association of Internal Medicine to ensure a safe and equitable process for all applicants. Our program is still considering the possibility of an in-person open house event; a final decision has not been made, and additional information will be provided depending on the trajectory of the pandemic through the fall.
