Learn more about the program's Quality Improvement Projects, Scholarly Projects and Presentations.

  • Quality Improvement Project. Fellows will participate in a structured curriculum to learn about quality improvement methods and processes. Fellows will work under the guidance of a quality improvement expert to investigate a QI issue they encounter in the inpatient, ambulatory, or hospice setting. As a group, fellows will execute a QI project.
  • Scholarly Project. Fellows will have up to four weeks dedicated to scholarly pursuits. Mentorship will be provided to fellows to assist with identifying and executing a project. Many fellows have presented their scholarly work at national conferences, or published manuscripts in peer reviewed journals.
  • Planned Presentations. Each Fellow will prepare presentations for Palliative Medicine Grand Rounds and Palliative Care Journal Club. Fellows will also have the opportunity to collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in presenting at the Palliative Care Case Conference Series.
