The Penn GI faculty at PPMC provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology plus hepatology consultation, including focused care of patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis) and uncomplicated liver disease. Our practitioners perform colonoscopies, upper GI endoscopies, endoscopic feeding tube placement, and advanced endoscopic procedures (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography/ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).

  • GI pathology conference the last Wednesday of each month
  • IBD Team journal club and clinical conferences once or twice monthly in rotation with PCAM
  • Periodic ad hoc GI radiology didactic sessions with the PPMC GI and Interventional Radiology Teams
  • Daily consultative and endoscopic instruction of gastroenterology fellows, medical residents, and medical students in the outpatient and inpatient setting
