The Cardio-Oncology program is a premier program that strives to be at the forefront of basic, translational, and clinical research and provides the highest level of clinical care. Our goals are to translate our scientific discoveries to provide state-of-the-art, evidence-based cardiovascular care to oncology patients and survivors regionally and nationally. We work collaboratively, with our partners at the Abramson Cancer Center to help ensure that we provide comprehensive care prior to, during and after cancer treatment to minimize cardiovascular toxicities and maximize the effectiveness of cancer treatment. Our internationally-recognized research program focuses on advancing our understanding of the mechanisms of cardiovascular toxicity with cancer therapies; the identification and treatment of high risk patients, and strategies to mitigate cardiovascular risk.
