At Penn Medicine's Abramson Cancer Center we are highly experienced and use the most advanced and least invasive techniques to diagnose and treat osteosarcoma. Here, we have the most experienced sarcoma experts in the Philadelphia region. Our physicians are supported by a complete cancer program that features the latest technology in diagnosis, and most current sarcoma research.
Screening for Osteosarcoma
Currently, there are no standard osteosarcoma screening recommendations for the general public like mammograms for breast cancer or colonoscopies for colon cancer.
However, patients at increased risk, or those with an inherited condition that puts them at a greater risk for developing bone cancer may benefit from specific diagnostic testing.
Navigating an osteosarcoma diagnosis and treatment options can be difficult. If you receive a cancer diagnosis, our cancer nurses are available and ready to help connect you with the right physician.
