CMML Risk and Prevention

Risk factors can increase the chance of getting cancer. There are different kinds of risk factors. Some risk factors for cancer, like age and family history, cannot be prevented.

Below are some risk factors for chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML):

  • Age: Risk for CMML increases with age.
  • Sex: More men get CMML than women
  • Previous cancer treatment

Currently, there are no prevention recommendations for CMML.
