Program Overview

The purpose of this activity is to provide primary care physicians and other primary health care providers with education about cancer screening, risk evaluation, diagnostic and treatment advances and survivorship care.

Target Audience

This activity has been designed for primary care physicians including: general medicine, internal medicine, family practice, gynecologist, primary care practice nurses, and other healthcare professionals involved in the primary care of patients.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
  • Identify new advances in cancer treatment including: immunotherapy, precision surgery, and proton therapy
  • Describe the PCP role in lung cancer screening
  • Explain the latest advances in surgical and systemic therapies for lung cancer
  • Describe the latest evidence for gynecologic malignancies screening and HPV vaccination
