Medical Students Connect with Food, Community Through Culinary Medicine Course

The goal: for students to understand how healthy eating impacts human physiology and disease.
Faculty Spotlight

Dennis Dlugos, MD, MSCE, Associate Dean for UME Science and Discovery Curriculum

I think most Neurologists love stories. Of course, the neurological exam is important, but everything starts with the history (a story). Leadership Announcement
Jonathan A. Epstein, MD, has been named Executive Vice President of the University of Pennsylvania for the Health System and Dean of the Perelman School of Medicine. The appointment is effective March 1, 2025, and pending approval of the Board of Trustees. Dr. Epstein is an eminent physician-scientist, a visionary leader, and a dedicated institutional citizen who has played an integral role in shaping Penn Medicine’s excellence across research, education, and patient care.
The Perelman School of Medicine (PSOM) provides all students with a robust education. For those who want to take an extra step to round out their skills, the school offers the option of a fifth, research-focused year, as well as five-year combined-degree tracks. Students also can take a summer to delve into a research project.
