Working to ensure every sick person receives treatment, identifying and responding to the needs of our neighborhoods, partnering with community organization, and giving to the personal outreach projects of our employees, these are just some of the ways Penn Medicine seeks to be a resource for our community.

  • Charity Care Policy
Penn Medicine is committed to caring for all patients equitably, with dignity, respect and compassion without regard to age, race, color, national origin, religious creed, sex, physical or mental disability, marital status or sexual preference.

  • Request Volunteers Form
Request Penn Medicine participation in community events, such as neighborhood health fairs, speaker forums or school functions. Requests for monetary sponsorship must be submitted separately on organization letterhead (accompanied by event flyer) and emailed to the Community Outreach Office at CAREs@uphs.upenn.edu.

  • Community Events Calendar
Penn Medicine seeks to match up community requests to employee volunteers. Browse upcoming community outreach opportunities.

  • CAREs Grant
Penn Medicine faculty, staff and students throughout the organization donate their time and expertise to provide countless hours of work to improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve. To help with these efforts, the Penn Medicine CAREs Grant program was established to offer institutional support to these individuals and programs in the form of grants that can be used for the purchase of supplies and other resources needed to perform this important work in the community. Take a look at a listing of projects funded by the CAREs grant from inception until 2015.
