Millions of men and women in the United States suffer from some form of a urologic condition. While these disorders strike people of all ages, they occur more frequently in middle-aged and older adults. Penn specialists provide care for the simplest urologic problem to the most complex, including:

Penn Urology is a leader in minimally invasive and noninvasive procedures, including robotic-assisted surgery and endourology. Endourology, which uses small fiberoptic scopes that can be passed through the urethra to visualize the lining of the urinary tract from kidney to bladder, allow Penn physicians to treat urethral obstruction, enlarged prostate, bladder tumors and urinary stones without incisions. Thin, flexible instruments including lasers, graspers, miniature stone retrieval baskets, special scalpels and cautery, can be advanced through the scope to perform the procedures.
