Referring Physicians
The Penn Transplant Institute is dedicated to serving as a resource for physicians and their patients. Our multidisciplinary team leads the region in the total number of transplants performed and is ranked among the top 10 multi-organ transplant centers in the country.

Our goal is to promote a strong working relationship with all referring physicians to ensure complete and consistent patient care. Our team of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, dieticians and support staff are committed to communicating with referring physicians through every step of the referral process. Our team approach ensures that we provide the highest quality care for patients facing transplant and their families.

Please contact Denise DuPont, clinical liaison, for an office visit to detail you and your staff about capabilities and referrals to Penn. Clinical liaison outreach activities include:
- Visits to physicians’offices to update physicians and their office staff about clinical trials, programs and new physician appointments at Penn Transplant Institute.
- Coordination of Continuing Medical Education (CME) events.
- Facilitation of community outreach and educational events for transplant-eligible patient populations.
- Facilitation of referrals to Penn Transplant Institute.
