Thoracic Surgery Services

Our Division offers surgical management for conditions affecting the lung, esophagus, mediastinum, chest wall and diaphragm:

  • Surgical resection for lung, esophageal, and other chest malignancies
  • Minimally invasive cancer staging and treatment, using high-definition video-assisted thoracoscopy and mediastinoscopy
  • Specialized treatment and protocols for patients with advanced lung cancer
  • Multi-modality treatment for patients with lung cancer, esophageal cancer and mesothelioma
  • Surgical and medical management of lung metastases
  • Photodynamic therapy
  • Surgery for emphysema
  • Hiatal hernia repair and anti-reflux surgery
  • Surgical treatment of esophageal dysmotility conditions
  • Treatment for hyperhydrosis

We believe that a multidisciplinary approach yields the most optimal treatment results. Our patients benefit from an evaluation by a team of specialists in surgery, medical oncology, pulmonary medicine, gastroenterology, radiation oncology and radiology.
