Welcome to the Minimally Invasive Surgery Program at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center

Dedicated surgical teams at Penn Presbyterian, consisting of surgeons, nurses and technicians in various specialties, are extensively trained in unprecedented minimally invasive surgical techniques and procedures. Our physicians have in-depth expertise, treating patients from all over the country using minimally invasive techniques, including robotics, on a daily basis.

In addition, many of our surgeons are on boards of several national minimally invasive surgical organizations, keeping them at the forefront of developments in this emerging medical specialty. While all minimally invasive surgeries have the potential to necessitate a conversion to an "open" procedure during the operation, the conversion rate at Penn Presbyterian is very low due to the experience of our skilled surgeons.

Penn Presbyterian Medical Center provides the most advanced minimally invasive surgical options in the following specialties:

Penn Presbyterian Medical Center features a new minimally invasive operating room that is fully equipped with the most advanced, state-of-the art technology available today, including robotics and an array of flat screen monitors.
