Mindful Parenting Course
We bring our heart and soul to the vital task of parenting. Our intentions are to raise healthy children who thrive. However, challenged by the hurried and harried pace of our daily lives, we sometimes parent in ways that we don’t feel good about later. We judge ourselves harshly and vow to do better.
Being a child in today’s technologically advanced, time-compressed world is not an easy task. Our children may be showing signs of stress with stomachaches, headaches, nervousness, trouble sleeping or angry outbursts.
Mindful Parenting can bring more calm, clarity, wisdom and joy into our daily lives. It enables us to live in the present moment where we are most readily available to our children, to parent in healthy and growth promoting ways. By practicing meditation and mindfulness techniques we begin to understand what “pushes our buttons” in new ways, allowing us to respond wisely rather than react impulsively. We learn to undo the tension that comes from anxiety about the past and worry about the future. By acquiring mindfulness tools we can actually slow down the pace, allowing us to experience a richer appreciation for ourselves, our children and the moments of our lives.
