Foundation Mindfulness-Based Stress Management

Mindfulness and meditation have been potent tools for growth and change for thousands of years. Our eight week public mindfulness-based stress management course can create a remarkable amount of change in a very short time.

Mindfulness meditation is a powerful way to manage stress, and may well become the foundation of a comprehensive new model of clinical healthcare. Most simply expressed, mindfulness is paying attention to moment-to-moment experience. Mindfulness meditation helps us restore and maintain a sense of personal balance and develop the skills to avoid emotional and physical depletion. This is important not only for persons with stress-related conditions but also for persons who want to avoid such conditions. And, what starts as a simple technique to manage stress, can evolve into a vehicle for the transformation of one's entire life.

Many people find it difficult to maintain a regular practice without the support of a group or the structure of a class. While individual practice is essential to making mindfulness a part of our daily lives, group practice strengthens our commitment to ourselves and deepens our understanding. A community of practitioners offers support for bringing mindfulness more fully into everyday life. Join us!
