Overview

Our eight week public mindfulness-based stress management course can create a remarkable amount of change in a very short time. What starts as a simple technique to manage stress can evolve into a vehicle for the transformation of one's entire life.

Many people find it difficult to maintain a regular practice without the support of a group or the structure of a class. While individual practice is essential to making mindfulness a part of our daily lives, group practice strengthens our commitment to ourselves and deepens our understanding. A community of practitioners offers support for bringing mindfulness more fully into everyday life.

Our Advanced Programs provide a more detailed exploration of the foundations of meditation Topic-specific programs offered throughout the year are designed to deepen your practice and your ability to apply mindfulness to life. They will help you to increase the experience of balance, depth, and meaning in both your practice, and lead you to find your own ways to apply your practice to make it work for you.

During the next year we will offer:

  • Advanced Classes: These eight-week courses provide a more detailed exploration of the foundations of meditation. These classes are strongly recommended for all graduates.
  • Deepening Connections: our ongoing year-long program facilitated by Michael Baime and Scott McBride meets once monthly and is intended for participants who have established a regular meditation practice and who have significant experience with mindfulness as well as a willingness to go further with their path.
  • Intensives and Retreat programs: We will continue to offer two residential retreats each year, and will add a number of weekend and all-day practice sessions. Stay tuned!

Prerequisites: participation in our advanced programs requires completion of our Foundation stress management program or a program similar in format, and a regular, ongoing mindfulness practice.
