Meet Dr. Soffer

Recognized in Philadelphia magazine's annual Top Docs issues from 2018 to present.

I wear a couple of hats in clinical care, but whichever hat I am wearing while seeing you, I am there as part of a team that is looking after our patients’ needs.

In Media where I practice as a general internist, I will work with our entire team to enable you to receive full care on site or in conjunction with other trusted providers in the local or Penn Medicine community. I have been part of this group for over 20 years since I left my Residency training at the Univerity of Pennsylvania and maintain a strong connection to the community and to my Penn Medicine colleagues. Unfortunately, I am unable to accept new patients in primary care at this time.

In Radnor and at the Perelman Centre, my team is focused on preventive cardiology and clinical lipidology. In addition to the clinical care, I teach trainees and colleagues in the field and while my focus is on lipid management, lipid derangements are just one pillar of the preventive cardiology foundation required for long-term cardiovascular health and well-being. This is truly a team effort where we can provide clinical attention, nutrition and genetic counseling, advanced biochemical and imaging or even apheresis when appropriate. In some cases, the connection to our research program may enable participation in a clinical trial with novel therapy, or even just to explore your rare lipid issue in more detail.
