Radiology Services
 The Department of Radiology uses state-of-the-art equipment to perform diagnostic examinations and therapeutic procedures. Led by Bruce Kneeland, MD, Chairman of the Radiology Department, Pennsylvania Hospital's radiologists are an integral part of the Cancer Center team.
They work closely with your doctors from your diagnosis through your treatment and recovery. Preliminary results of diagnostic studies are generally available the same day a test is conducted. The hospital's comprehensive imaging services include:
The Women's Imaging Center offers both screening and diagnostic mammography. When necessary, additional special views and breast ultrasound can be performed immediately. Cyst aspiration under ultrasonic guidance and core biopsy of suspicious lesions are also performed.
The Center is fully accredited by the American College of Radiology, and all of the technologists have advanced certification by the American Association of Registered Technologists (AART).
