The Joan Karnell Cancer Center is the proud recipient of a
grant from the Susan G. Komen Foundation, titled
Breaking
Barriers to Breast Cancer Care.
This one year
grant for $40,000
was awarded in April 2007 to provide services
for women with
breast cancer at the Joan Karnell Cancer Center,
including
supportive care grants, lymphedema supplies,
Healthy Balance
Program for survivors, outreach, community
and patient education.

at the Center
to Advance Palliative Care Seminar in Orlando,
FL in June:
