The Penn Hand Service in Philadelphia, PA, provides comprehensive, expert diagnosis and treatment of the hand, wrist and elbow.
The Penn Hand Service has received grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF) to research groundbreaking technology in the treatment of hand, wrist and elbow disorders and traumas.
Surgical Procedures
The Penn Hand Center responds to major traumas of the hand and upper extremity. For the hand, wrist and elbow, the team performs procedures such as:
- Arthroscopy
- Carpal tunnel release
- Dupuytren's contracture release
- Microvascular surgery
- Reconstructive surgery
- Replantation of digits
- Syndactyly repair
- Tendon repair
- Volkmann's ischemic contracture release
