Jordan Center for Gynecologic Cancer at Penn

Gynecologic cancer is the fourth most common cancer in women and affects approximately one in 20 women. Our knowledge of gynecologic cancer continues to grow and today there are more encouraging treatment options than ever before for women with this disease. Although gynecologic cancers are grouped together, they vary in terms of symptoms, diagnosis and treatment.

Gynecologic cancers include:

When facing a diagnosis of cancer, or the possibility of cancer, you want a team of experts who will provide the information, comfort and support you need to help you every step of the way. Patients at the Jordan Center for Gynecologic Cancer at Penn, have direct access to the expertise of the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania.

Located at the Ruth and Raymond Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine, the Abramson Cancer Center is one of only 14 cancer centers in the country designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute. This status reflects our outstanding research, clinical services, education and information services, and community outreach.

What sets the Jordan Center for Gynecologic Cancer at Penn apart from other treatment centers?
The Jordan Center combines the expertise of Penn physicians and scientists from the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, the Abramson Cancer Center, the Joan Karnell Cancer Center and the Penn Ovarian Cancer Research Center.

Physicians from a variety of subspecialties including radiation oncology, hematology-oncology, cardiology, dermatology, gastroenterology, thoracic and pulmonary medicine and more can easily collaborate on treatment plans and hold joint consultations with patients, due to their close proximity within the Perelman Center.

This combined effort has allowed us to increase our knowledge about gynecologic cancer, provide individualized care tailored to the needs of each patient, and find new ways to prevent and treat these diseases. Additionally, our research advances to efficiently get to our patients efficiently and make Penn a leader in gynecologic cancer research.

The Jordan Center brings together integrated clinical care, service excellence and outstanding research in one single location. We offer:
