The Penn Center for Women's Behavioral Wellness
The Penn Center for Women's Behavioral Wellness is a resource for women, offering clinical consultation, evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of behavioral issues across the lifespan. Specialists are available to discuss depression, mood and anxiety concerns, including treatment during pregnancy.
Services include evaluation and treatment related to:
- Pregnancy
- Pregnancy loss or complications
- Postpartum depression
- Adjustment to motherhood
- Infertility, miscarriage
- Midlife changes
- Chronic or serious illness
- Depression or anxiety
- Grief or loss
- Relationship difficulties
- Sexuality
The center also provides services for expectant couples through "Parent Prep" workshops. In addition, individual mother-infant assessments are offered for women with concerns regarding motherhood. The center is a collaboration between Penn Medicine's departments of Psychiatry and Obstetrics and Gynecology.
One-time consultations and ongoing psychological or psychiatric care are available in three locations, some within or adjacent to Penn Ob/Gyn Care practices.
