Pregnancy and Menopause
In the years before
menopause, your periods may be widely spaced
or difficult to predict. However, you are still
producing eggs during this time and are still
able to become pregnant.
Remember, you haven't reached menopause until
you have had no periods for one full year. Until
this point, you should assume that you may still
be capable of becoming pregnant.
If you are approaching, but have not reached,
menopause and are sexually active, talk to your
health care provider about birth control options.
