THE CLINICAL PRACTICES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA

Since its inception, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania has provided quality outpatient care, which continues today through the Clinical Practices of the University of Pennsylvania (CPUP). As the ambulatory care component of UPHS, CPUP has over 3,000 physicians, nurses, and support staff providing care at 152 locations across the Delaware Valley including West Philadelphia and Radnor, Pennsylvania. This includes a faculty practice plan and two multi-specialty satellite facilities providing over 2 million outpatient visits per year.

Premiere services are offered in over fifty specialties and subspecialties, which include, but are not limited to: women's health, cardiology, pulmonary, neuroscience, oncology, dermatology, internal medicine and surgery.

CPUP has offices located within our hospitals and in a wide variety of settings that include:

One of the largest cancer centers in the country, the Abramson Cancer Center is a national leader in cancer research, patient care and education. The center has had for 30 years continuous designation as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute.

Penn Medicine at Radnor located at 250 King of Prussia Road, offers patients premiere specialty and primary care with expertise in more than 30 specialties, as well as a Women's Imaging Center. To meet the needs of the community we also provide a variety of on-site health education programs. This spacious facility is highly accessible from all major Philadelphia interstates and the PA Turnpike.

Our new Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine, scheduled to open in 2008, is designed to create an ideal environment for patient-focused care and collaboration among health professionals. It will be a state-of-the-art outpatient center that will offer the most advanced treatment options available, as well as house the Roberts Proton Therapy Center, a first-of-its-kind proton therapy center for the treatment of cancer, which will open the following year.
