OFFICE ADMINISTRATION
At PennCare, the administrative duties are performed
by our Patient Services Representatives. We believe
that the role of the patient services representative
is imperative to offering our patients the outstanding
care we're noted for. Because this position
is so important, we have developed a unique program
that focuses on professionalizing the patient
services representative role and awards an academic
certificate once the program is completed. This
is a unique program designed to build skills
and open the door for further educational opportunities.
You will also achieve a level of professional
confidence when connecting with patients.
Patient services representatives with PennCare provide
telephone coverage, schedule patients, perform
patient registration, and manage patient funds
according to policy and other duties as needed.
Other administrative positions with PennCare include
office managers, coordinators, accounts receivables
professionals as well as receptionists, who will
also assist in triage to determine if patients
need to be seen by a health care team member.
Two or three years of medical office experience
is preferred. Computer literacy is also preferred
along with an education equivalent to the completion
of high school.
