UPHS offers multiple learning options so that employees
may have the opportunity to pursue further education
and improve work related skills. This is a brief summary
of what is offered.
Tuition Assistance and Professional Development
A critical element to the mission of UPHS is education.
To help employees fulfill not only the UPHS mission
but their own career plans, UPHS offers a robust
tuition assistance and professional development benefit
for eligible employees. During the fiscal year employees
can take advantage of either tuition assistance
or professional development but not both.
- Tuition Assistance – Eligible employees
are allotted up to $8,000 in a calendar year
for credit bearing tuition expenses and course
related fees. UPHS pays the school directly
for your tuition so you won't have to pay up
front.
- Professional Development – Eligible
employees can receive up to $600 for non-credit-bearing
education related to their current position
in a fiscal year
Career Development Options
Employees may choose to participate in one of
two UPHS Career Development Workshops or to receive
individual career coaching from a UPHS Career Consultant.
Catalog Courses
UPHS offers an array of no-cost professional
courses that are open to all UPHS employees and managers.
These courses cover a broad spectrum of topics.
