Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Clinic
We provide comprehensive care for individuals living with HIV infection including:
- Physical examinations.
- Developmental assessments.
- Laboratory tests, including HIV screening.
- Counseling and psychological support.
- Coordination of the services required for
the care of HIV-positive patients and their
families.
- Coordination of hospital- and community-based
care for HIV-positive patients.
- Referrals to other physicians and health
professionals and/or community agencies, when
appropriate.
- Education for patients, families and the
community.
Viral Hepatitis Clinic
Our viral hepatitis clinic provides a multidisciplinary
approach to the care of patients living with
chronic viral hepatitis. Our program includes:
- Physical evaluation of patients with confirmed
or suspected acute or chronic infections due
to hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus
(HCV) and hepatitis D/delta virus (HDV), including
those co-infected with human immunodeficiency
virus (HIV) infection.
- Implementation of U.S. Food and Drug
Administration (FDA)-approved treatments for
viral hepatitis.
- Education for patients and families.
- Counseling and psychological support.
- Development of nutritional programs.
- Liver function assessment.
- Access to cutting-edge therapies in clinical
trials (when available).
Co-Infection Clinic
We offer a unique
program dedicated to the care of patients co-infected
with HIV and hepatitis C. The program identifies
candidates with HIV and hepatitis C co-infection
and creates a specialized treatment program to
address the specific needs of those patients.
