The Adult Volunteer Program offers community members who are 18 years of age and older opportunities to interact with patients at various levels of care, provide clerical or administrative support, or to assist hospital team members in other ways that reinforce the hospital's mission of delivering extraordinary patient care.

Teen Volunteer Program ››
If you are 14 years old or older and in high school, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania offers many opportunities for career exposure in a healthcare profession. Many high schools require students to commit to community service, or provide students with career enhancement opportunities in service learning programs. Teenagers who wish to complete volunteer service or would like to spend time learning more about healthcare are welcome to join the HUP Volunteer Team.

College Volunteer Program ››
Many opportunities exist at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for college students who are searching for volunteer positions that will allow exposure to careers in healthcare. Premedical, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration and other college students are invited to HUP for service/learning experiences that enhance career goals.

Premed Volunteer Program ››
College students, post-baccalaureate students and other candidates who are changing their career focus, and who are taking classes leading to a career in medicine, may apply to the Premed Volunteer Program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. This program is structured to provide interested applicants who are at all levels of education the opportunity to gain valuable hospital experience and exposure to medicine.
